Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision near Wilmington BoulevardWILMINGTON, CA (April 10, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, one man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Pacific Coast Highway.Authorities responded to the scene around 5:20 p.m., near Wilmington Boulevard on April 2nd.Per reports, a man was walking north across Pacific Coast Highway within a marked crosswalk against a red light when the driver of a westbound Scion xB struck him.Upon impact, the driver of the Scion stopped and assisted the severely injured man. However, a second vehicle that struck the victim immediately fled the scene. Officers only described the second vehicle as a dark-colored sedan.Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medical personnel pronounced the 52-year-old man dead at the scene.
